Spring, with its promise of renewal
The earth has cast off her white blanket
The moment of equal day and equal night arrives again
The birds have fully returned, animals have begun to have babies
Lord and Lady, the yin and yang, the masculine and feminine energies
The creative energies that bring forth new growth
All things germinate once more
Buds form on the plants as Mother Earth awakens
I hold in my palm a seed
The promise of another generation
Thank you for this seed, Dear Mother Earth
May it feed our family this year
Bless our home with the renewal of new beginnings
Remind us to smell the scent of vegetation upon the breeze,
to see the beauty all around us, to hear the sounds of life,
to touch and taste the bounty from your bosom
All these things and more, so mote it be!
