Painting Day

The table is all ready for painting. Jars of watercolor paint (I keep them in the fridge!) and water, paper on a protective tray, brush, cloth, covering to protect the floor and an art apron await the children.

One of my childcare children decided to paint her hands and add handprints to her creation. Fun!

I love the little squiggles she created with this method.

Now it is our son's turn to paint

He had great support from the cat, who literally "had his back". lol!

Painting day was a great success, and the kids really had a blast. Sometimes we paint with a "theme" in mind, or with a story behind the painting, but today the kids just wanted to have some free-form fun with the paint.
