Planning Grade 3

Similar to my last post, this page may be a work-in-progress. This is my current progress in planning for DD9's 3rd grade year. As I have noted before, DD9 is on the autism spectrum, and she also has been diagnosed with ADHD, and so her lessons need to be naturally shorter (at times). She has less patience for long bouts of table work. I make several accommodations for her, including allowing her to dictate some of her answers so that she does not become frustrated with too much writing.

Using the same great Waldorf Curriculum planning site, here are some of the goals of grade 3:

4.  Similar to DS11, we will use the BrainQuest workbook, grade 3. As noted in my previous post, this workbook contains lessons, activities and worksheets for pretty much all of the subjects required for grade 3 (public school guidelines) and is common core aligned. Naturally, that means absolutely nothing to me personally, but it is good to know that they tried to hit on all of the basic skills needed for children in this grade.
