Using the same great Waldorf Curriculum planning site, here are some of the goals of grade 3:
Farming and Gardening Arithmetic Language Arts
Time-Telling Shelters & House Building Measurement
Old Testament stories Clothing Baking/Home Keeping
Farming and Gardening
1. (cute blog here: http://heirloomseasons.blogspot.com/2010/08/waldorf-3rd-grade-farming-block.html ) and this one http://twiningoaks.blogspot.com/2007/07/grade-three-resources.html for general ideas)
2. From Seed to Plant book, and Creativity for Kids Terrarium

3. I'm loving the planned rotation here: https://sureastheworld.com/planning/grade-3/
Sept: Practical Life (Farming/Gardening/Cooking) Farmer Boy
Oct: Math; set up weather station; measurement
Nov: Old Testament Stories
Dec: Clocks (both boys) Time and making different kinds of clocks.
Jan: Old Testament Stories
Feb: Room of Requirement
Mar: Math
April: Old Testament Stories
May: Practical Life (Farming/Gardening/Cooking)
June: Wrap up and testing
4. Similar to DS11, we will use the BrainQuest workbook, grade 3. As noted in my previous post, this workbook contains lessons, activities and worksheets for pretty much all of the subjects required for grade 3 (public school guidelines) and is common core aligned. Naturally, that means absolutely nothing to me personally, but it is good to know that they tried to hit on all of the basic skills needed for children in this grade.
